All Welcome
Join us for an engaging evening with the Helmsley Archaeological & Historical Society as we delve into A Medieval Bercarie at Rievaulx. This event will feature James Lyall, offering fascinating insights into medieval farming practices . Potential improvements on the farm at New Leys, a Medieval grange associated with Rievaulx Abbey, offered us the rare opportunity to archaeologically examine part of the scheduled monument. The talk will present the findings from the excavations, which discovered something completely unexpected!
Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply curious about the rich heritage of Helmsley and beyond, this is an event not to be missed!
